Evo 8-9.8 vs Evo 9 turbo Dyno results

I'd have to say you made a good choice in your parts BUT I also have to say that the big gains you have seen are not from the "EVO9 turbo" but more from the 10.5 housing and the SS 02 housing. I'd expect as much as 25 whp just from those two pieces.

That is strange...that definitely seems low for the gains i have seen. Was his first tune a little more aggressive?
Your turbo definitely made power, more so than the 10.5 housing and O2 housing. The latter definitely give you more power, but not as much as stated above. I will post some dyno numbers on the 20G-9 once I get my car tuned.

People should probably stop worrying so much about peak differences and start worrying about area under the curve. That's why Dynojets are so useful, because you can take the runfiles, put them in WinPep, then overlay the curves to see the true difference. A 5whp peak gain can include a 20whp difference for 3000rpm. A 20whp gain can include 0 difference for 3000rpm.
I wana see results of an 05 w/ a Evo IX turbo. Since he came from an 03, the gains came from the hotside and o2 housing so theres not that much of a difference we can conclude until we see it on a 2005 Evo

I am sure once a real tune is on my car this will yield better results.

Actually I'm waiting for Jarod (Buschur) to send me one, then I'll post up the results!

i don't care what buschur says, safc + flash is a BAD idea, waht you run warr, safc and 100/alkie tune is NOT bad... but to put an safc on top of a flash to "fine tune" how is that a good idea? you should have a PRECISE flash from the beginning or don't bother flashing at all.
if you go safc, get the right sized injectors to get hte maximum benefits. if you're running lots more air flow than stock then 720s will get you that. if you're running below 350dynojet then 660s will likely settle you with timing.
until our friend here gets reflashed with a precise tune and zeroes out his safc it will be inconclusive. and after that fact if he decides to get a 100 map and an alkie map with the safc then i'm sure we'll be curious of those numbers too.
