Evo 8-9.8 vs Evo 9 turbo Dyno results

Well some of you may know that recently I switched from a 9.8 turbo to the new and improved Evo 9 turbo a week a so ago. Right before I pulled the 9.8 turbo off, I dynoed my car to get a baseline before the install. After getting the 9.8 off of the dyno I pulled the turbo and replaced it with a brand new Evo 9 turbo from www.turbochargers.com Finally today I was able to dyno this baby and see some results. I could definately feel the difference w/the butt dyno, butt the butt dyno likes to lie alot. So anyway, here is a list of my mods
Pump gas numbers.
Before

317.00 WHP

After Evo 9 turbo/02 housing

342.00 WHP
2003 Evo 8
AEM Intake
Buschur Piping
Custom Dynoflash
SAFC II
Perrin TBE
Hallman MBC
Walbro 255
Zeitronix WB02
Forge RS valve\
HKS 272 cams
Buschur Intercooler
Mini Battery

All of this testing was done with AF's in the mid 11's and the boost was set to 22 psi

Overall I am very happy with this turbo. The power delivery is great. The car definatley needs a retune. I can't wait to get my Alcohol kit setup and tuned soon.

Overall throughout the whole power band was a 25whp gain.

Sorry no graphs.

This was done on an AWD Dynapack.

So with no change other than the turbocharger and the day, you saw a consistent 25 whp improvement? Very cool.

so you went from a evo 8 turbo and to a evo 9 turbo and gained 25 hp... thats good, was curious about switching to a evo 9 turbo but didnt know if it was going to be worth the money.

also you say your car needs a retune and you have an SAFC... why didnt you tune it while you were on the dyno? you had a wideband at your disposal..

I did dial it in as much as possible. I can just tell that there is more to be had with this turbo with a better tune that what I can do.

91 0ct yes

I didn't have to change anything to make this turbo work. Just a bit of bending on the stock water lines, which is very minimal. The turbo outlet is extremely clost to the starter, but that is the only tight spot.
