my battery sits for weeks on end without getting fired up... never have to charge it. i don't even have a charger.

 

Something interesting, well not that interesting

I own quite a few cars. They range from 1949 to 2005, range from V8 to turbo 4's to diesels. I let most of them sit over the winter and many of them don't see over 500 miles a year. You know what pisses me off? A dead battery. Last night I was in my garage at home and needed to move my '49. Battery was dead. Huge PITA to charge it as the battery box is in the bed covered by a custom cover. While it was charging I decided I may as well fire up my '87 Turbo T type, battery was dead. Pissed off again. After the '49 started I put the charger on the '87. Then I decided I may as well try to start the '62, guess what? Yep, dead too. The best part was the car I needed to work on has sat OUTSIDE since last fall and it fired right up.

Bottom line is if you are going to let a car sit chances are the battery is going to go dead overtime.

 

Thats funny, Ive had mine for well over a year now and Ive never had a problem once. Please dont make asinine comments like that.

 

were the cars disconnected from the bat?
