Instead of putting alcohol into the bottle, why not throw a bunch of ice cubes into the tank? I bet very cold water would work just as well as a water/alcohol mix....and it wouldn't seem nearly as dangerous a proposition.

SC~
I'd thought about the ice cube thing as well, I may try it at VIR next week for their track days.

Also, GET_SUM 30, iirc, the intercooler spray tank is listed at 1 gallon, which judging by the size of the two spray nozzles should last awhile, I would think...

look into the grille in front of the intercooler, and you'll see two spray nozzles about 8 inches apart at the bottom of the grill. They spray upwards in front of the I/C.

I wish there was an indicator light that showed when the pump was actually spraying, not just what mode it is in. I guess that would be easy enough to do though. I just wish I could see how the thing cycles when in automatic mode...

Hmm, does the rocker switch stay in the auto mode? mine seems to click forward, then return to the middle. The manual spray works just fine.

Hey guys....

I think I have a problem with the resovoir for my intercooler sprayer. I went to fill it today and it started to pour out of the bottom of my front bumper.

It looks like the clear hose which is located at about the half way point on the resovoir container on the left is draining the water out to somewhere? Once it drains past the level of that clear hose...it stops dripping.

Is this normal? Is the container only supposed to be about 1/2 full visually?

Or maybe that clear hose got disconnected from something?

Thanks!

I believe that the clear hose is the overflow. I have no idea why they would put it so low on the tank though. It seems like it could hold another pint or so if that wasn't there...

Me neither...makes me wonder also. It looks like theres 2 hoses one black and the clear one going into the tank.

I'm just curious if the clear one is in fact just the overflow.

If it is....well, at least I'll have have the peace of mind knowing its normal.
