Also how do you take that whole clip off the clutch as I just looked at my stock clutch and it is still on there, I could reuse that and add this spare washer on it.. The one from my 03 is not though because Pruven ganked it like the bastards they are lol. don't blame them.

So the Cusco tech line is not helping you out...?

It is a lot harder to describe it over the keyboard than for you to look at the parts and figure it out for yourself but I will try. To take it off, you have to push the collar to compress the wave washers and while it is compressed, remove the snap ring from the collar. After that you should be able to just pull the collar out from the top, wiggling it back and forth as you go. I already walked through the steps to install it on a previous post.

So the pressure plate doesn't have to be removed to take the snap ring off correct? Since my snapring broke off here I wasn't able to see how it was attached so I never got to see what it looked like.

Dirk thanks a lot for the help btw.

From the pictures do you think I can use that wave washer plus the one from my stocker to go together?

Yes you have to remove the pressure plate since the snap ring is on the bottom (toward the disc). I assume the collar and snap ring are still attached to your stock pressure plate. If you set the pressure plate upside down on something the wave washers will compress and you can remove the snap ring.

The picture is so blurry that can't begin to speculate on the wave washer. Here is an idea... why don't you just compare it to the good one from the stocker? You are going to tell a lot more by looking at it than I can by staring at a fuzzy picture.

Lol sorry about the picture it didn't like the lighting and such on a 6 megapixel camera..... Ooh that means when I reinstall it on my Cusco clutch I will have to take the Cusco one apart to put the snapring around huh?

I realize this thread is two years old... but does anyone have these? I thought I'd ask here before creating a new thread.

Talking about the silver center piece... actually it's 2 or 3 pieces... I need them all of possible.

Did you try calling Exedy directly? Also Mitsu parts should have the wavy washers too.

Not yet.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how that snap ring comes out. At this point I'm almost ready to sell my used clutch for a little $$$ and buy a new one... I'm a total noob at clutch stuff and I don't want to take the trans back off if something isn't right

The whole assembly on the pressure plate comes out in an interesting way.

Basically you can see the I guess you could say bottomw of the finger hooked looking clip. In between the bottom or base of it and the pressure plate are the wavy washers. Then on the inside of the pressure plate you have those fingers chillin'. Around those you have the snap ring. That broke on mine so the fingers were free and just popped out.

No part number from what I've heard over the years. I heard you need to buy a whole pressure plate just to get that piece. And Exedy/Cusco doesn't sell them seperate either from what I heard.
