Best turbo for torque

What is the best turbo for low end torque and whp at or around 550-600? I was thinking the AMS gt35r... but what are the other options, and who else makes the kits?

There are no too much of torque on GT35R until 5krpm!!You should consider this:2.3/2.4 + GT35R.This is good enough for 650whp/500wtq.

Anything that can spool the fastest will make the best low-mid torque, but it will not hold up at high rpms like a big turbo.

uhm... if you want 500whp and 500fpt then you need to get something more than 2 liters.

the fact is that in order to produce torque you must maintain exhaust gas velocity.

in order to produce horsepower you must be able to sustain high rates of air mass movement.

these two things are almost mutually exclussive because to flow more mass volume means to use great cross sectional flow area which inevitably slows air. the only way to get around it is to use more air, more displacement.

why in the world would you need massive amounts of torque? If you are going to a autocross track than I see, but if you are a highway racer like me torque means nothing. I punched it with a SRT8 in second gear and left him smelling Evo fumes!

"high whp" and "low-end torque" is an inverse relationship in the case of our little 2.0Ls. If you want low end torque and that power youre going to need a V8

Unfortunately you wouldn't find any turbo that would give you a lot of torque at low rpm. Big turbos give you big HP and tq but normally at higher rpms.

You need a set of cams to bring the powerband down and maybe some other mods otherwise a stroker kit or a bigger block.
