but they stated in their post that it made a soild 20whp gain which is good on a stock turbo? im confused now, let me see the graph!

 

I was told its a bit more then 20 and I spoke to greg himself. so let him say what its gonna do.

 

I don't know what it is about this mysterious man of mystery that has everyone so intrigued.

Please post up a before and after dyno sheet showing these cams making some improvement over stock and I (and I am sure other forum members) will buy them. Thanks.

 

Here's why Im confused. Clearly, a testing date was set to do a before and after to see real-world results on a member's EVO IX. The date comes, the car has them in, its dynoed yet we see no dyno sheets. We are just told what they make. If I were going to market them and they infact did make a 20whp gain, wouldnt a dyno sheet (most noteably a before/after) be the first thing to post?

Im kinda glad i got an 05 instead of a 06 just bc i knew things like these were gona happen. All i would do to mine is slap a IX turbo on it and call it a day

 

Things like what? R&D? Trial and error? Look at the additional gains that have been found in the IX's so far. Give it a while. There's only more to be found.

 

About 90% of the gains on the IX over the 05 VIII is the turbo.. On 93 Oct, the turbo would yield about 25-30whp on an 05 VIII, which if you look at it, its the difference of what the IXs make compared to an 05 with cams

 

Well, considering we haven't had multiple IX's running cams, or even FINAL PRODUCTION cams for that matter, and seen how they interact with Mivec, wouldn't you agree this is only speculation at the moment? On another note, my opinion that more power has yet to be extracted from the IX's could be considered speculation as well. How about we just wait and see rather than jumping the gun.

 

I agree with you but honestly all the IXs ive seen tuned down here have been making more power with stock cams or respond a little better just with the ex cam, but like you said, lets see what these cams can do on other cars, it will be just a matter of time before we can find out a real conclusion
