First of all....... I'm ****ing pissed.

We do not put our shop cars ahead of customers car!!!!! Why haven't we gone 8's? Because we've been working on customers cars!!! We went to our local drag strip twice this whole year and we didn't even make any full passes because of traction issues. Why only twice?, because again we are working on customers cars. Please don't speak on our behalf and don't assume we are all working hard on getting our car into the eights. We are working hard on keeping customers happy and doing good work. The only time we work on our cars during the day is when we have nothing else to do!! (if a customer cancels his appt, ect, wich is rarely).

2. I'm really sick and tired of hearing about "other" peoples dyno numbers and all these high and unrealistic #'s!!!!! Or how my 250whp on this dyno should be 350whp on another dyno. How about I screw with my dyno, crank the **** out of the boost, turn up my correction factors & smoothing on full, & then post up a really high unrealistic number that everyone will compare everything else too!!! This total, complete, unrealistic bull****!!!
Do you guys really believe that a stock EVO IX that makes 250-260whp (235-245torque) on my dyno will safely gain 90whp & 100ft-lbs (110engine hp) from must an exhuast, filter, & flash? Don't believe the hype!! Trust me I really, really, badly, want to post up stuff that inflates our claims and hypes our products and tuning up......We would probably sell a lot more stuff, but I wont' do it!!! It doesn't feel right. We promote our products through results, track times & trap speeds. I can spout out numbers and give out false hopes in the form of a dyno sheet all day long.... but what really matters is when you hit the track or put 4 car lengths on that modified 'vette on the highway. I've had other cars from other dyno's & shops on my dyno and I've seen this trend over and over.
In fact, if you have a car that's making huge power & torque on someones dyno with little mods, please contact me and I'm willing to give you free dyno time & product (intercooler, IC piping, ect) & tuning if you can match those numbers on my dyno.

And you are not going to gain 40-50whp from cams on a stock turbo'd car.. aint gonna happen. Sorry to dispell the myths and shatter hopes, but you're lucky if you gain 20whp. We did a test on VIII. At almost 700whp we lost only 50whp from JUN 272 cams to stock cams!! Now imagine a 300whp car where the turbo is the limiting factor....again you're lucky to gain 20whp from cams.

Yes, we play with MIVEC. I've spent a lot of time tuning and tweaking MIVEC maps. I've turned MIVEC off, and then started from scratch building maps to give more torque through the power band.

The GSC cams performed just as I thought, the gains are completely realistic and they worked well.

I've attached a bone stock EVO IX dyno sheet for your guy's reference. Also I've done a few EVO IX's with all the major bolt-ons & with 93oct & methanol on 28-29psi (drops to 21psi up top), I see 370-380whp & 360-370ft-lbs of torque. This is about 10-20whp & 10-20ft-lbs more torque than an EVO IX does with the same mods (except an IX uses an aftermarket intake cam). How do others get 360-370 ft-lbs out an IX with minor mods, pump gas, & 22psi of boost??? Please keep this in mind when comparing our results with some other dyno numbers out there.

^I dont care about 90% of what you said. All I care about is getting my cams. If they make around 20whp thats fine. I am not trippin, but what I am trippin about is when am I going to get my cams? Every car dynos differently and every dyno gives diff numbers. But anyways just ship out my cams damit!

Do you have an order with us for cams? The IX cam isnt even released yet. They are being produced right now for a possible mid september release. This was a test set.

You dont pay for them until they ship them out to you. Thts what greg said. When they ship your cams out thats when they run your card. Until then your card wont be charged.

who did you order them from because your rude comment about "getting you your cams Dammit" and "I dont care about 90% of what you said" was directed at Martin Musial the owner of AMS..... not GSC

AMS has taken no pre-orders for cams

We never take a pre-order for a part that is still in the testing process.

Greg, nice work. AMS, thanks for allowing the testing. You guys are doin great work, dont listen to the internet dynoqueens.

good god. no one has been charged for evo 9 cams. as soon as they are ready they will ship. We had a slight problem with them a month ago. AMS found it we fixed it. we had to retest the cams to make sure we had a properly working cam mivec cam. the orders will be filled as soon as we finish. the wait is almost over! please be pacient with us as we wrap up production on them and get them out.

Martin Thanks for the post. I know you guys are very busy and with the time you guys put in to this deal. As always i respect you guys for your honasty as a shop and thats why i asked you to test them. you know much more about tuning the mivec than i do and i appreciate all your time.

I'm sure someone is going to push there car with the stock turbo to the 26psi line with them and crack the 390-400 line! aftermarket turbos are really going to see something with these as well.

I would also like to see a before an after dyno, but i really think we are going to get a more realistic test when we start selling these. there was a lot of time in between installing these base lining the car and tuning the car.

we will have stock by the 2nd week of september.
Sounds good. Very nice job to you and your R&D team. I look forward to my set,

****ing hell people, grow the **** up! I hope they send some of you impatient bastards a set of cams that don't work for ****... chill the **** out. The cams will be out mid-September, like they already said. If any of you were smart, you'd wait a few months AFTER the release to see what works good with the cams and what doesn't so you don't have to play the guessing/burning money game (which to me, is just plain retarded).

Seriously, stop rushing them.

Tony (will be waiting 'till around tax time to get his)

After adding cams to my 2003 Evo I picked up 6MPH in the 1/4 mile on pump gas, I believe that was a little more then 20WHP.
