This isnt a fair comparison - however, at least we can compare the curve itself.

This is my IX, with TBE, MBC, HKS272 exh cam and Intake. EcuTek flash. Boost is at 21, 93 Oct.

The GSC cams are keeping the tq somewhat flat past 6K, where my OEM intake cam is falling flat right after 5K.

Its a good guess that these have better mid-range.

However, here is my IX - exact same mods and prior to the EcuTek.

Now the torque curve appears to be about the same as the GSC cams. Interesting.

To me it seems the IXs 90% of the power is the turbo itself, i think imo the MIVEC works better with the STOCK intake cam.. Seems that every IX that has dynoed without cams seem to be making more power than with an int/ex cam but i can be wrong

330+ posts, and still no conclusive evidence showing if the cams make power, no power, power under the curve, etc.

1) You dyno the car prior to installation of the cams (Post Results)
2) Install cams and re-dyno (Post Results)
3) Tune the car for the cams and re-dyno (Post Results)

Why is this so hard?

Is there a way to turn off the MIVEC. Or was the tuning even messed with after the install.
I don't think our tuners can tune MIVEC yet?? However I could be wrong. Give it some time and things will turn around for the IX's.

Also I want to hear what these things sound like at idle... please

VIDEO OR SOUND CLIP NEEDED... ASAP

Yes the MIVEC can be turned off. Precision Dyno did it back in the day when they were here...I believe it turns off on the IXs after 6k but im not 100% sure

well looks like you guys heard when i did. after chatting some with eric i am pretty happy with the out come. we know the cams are working well with the mivec and they did pick up a pretty solid 20whp. this is almost normal with a set of cams. some of our 8 cars make a lot more some around the same with our cams. i am willing to bet as time cares forward and more than just one car has these cams we will see some really strong numbers out there. I'm sure someone is going to push there car with the stock turbo to the 26psi line with them and crack the 390-400 line! aftermarket turbos are really going to see something with these as well.

I would also like to see a before an after dyno, but i really think we are going to get a more realistic test when we start selling these. there was a lot of time in between installing these base lining the car and tuning the car.

we will have stock by the 2nd week of september.
