what size injectors for a 35r turbo kit

I just bought buschurs 35r turbo kit. I currently have 720's for my atp 3071 turbo kit and my car is tuned with ecutec, so do I need to upgrade my injector. I see alot of cars using 1000's for there 35r, but Ive heard that is overkill with ecutek Please help.

with the 35r I would suggest the 1000's. more safer and you dont have to worry bout running out of fuel. As far as the ecutek being able to use them I'm not sure.

880's to 1000's should do you fine...I would get 1000's if your ecu can get the car running right with them.

I would also recomend 850s at the least, since they will cover the maximum flow capacity of the 35R at both pump gas and race gas specific gravities and target AFRs. But not by much. 950s or 1000s will provide a little headroom (~85% IDC worst case, for 950s, on race gas, 12.5:1).

Just for some fun with math, a 35r at full bore (WG signal line melted for example, it happens), pump gas, and 720s wide open results in 13.5:1 AFR. And for a painful walk down memory lane, it was the same airflow (65 lbs) and the same AFR (13.5) on race gas that tossed my last motor on the T67 That was a 255 not keeping up, but the same hard learned lesson applies. I strongly feel that the fuel system should be sized to cover the turbo's max airflow capacity. But I probably sound like a broken record by now.

It really depends on your management. If you are going with an AEM, they use oldschool crappy injector drivers and thats the reason most jump to 1k's. If you are going with the stock ECU and are wanting to make lots of power, I'd say 880's would be fine.

I went with 1000's, but I tend to agree with you.. I'm using a stock ECU and am able to get the ECU to work with them okay, but I would definitely go with something a little smaller, 880's or so are fine with a reflashed or UTEC'ed car.. I'm almost anticipating having to upgrade the rest of the fuel system on my car though..
