I am sure once I start powershifting that will obviously help my et's

that is normal, it can be solved by double clucthinc into first gear. very simple driving technique.

the reason it happens is because the fluid is not grabbing enough.

more synchroes means more time to sync. it's stronger however.

I could live with that as long as it performed well under extreme heat...
this is a bit of a problem... there haven't been definitive reports of a fluid that works well in an mr tranny for high performance situations. the bg stuff is definitely the best for 5 speed.

maybe erik's mopar stuff will be the way to go. but someone must try it first :\

Excuse my "n00bness" but is Synchromesh or Synchorglide from:

http://specialtyformulations.netfirm...x.php?cPath=21

compatable with the EVO 5/6-speeds?

Last I heard, DSM's were using this stuff and had nothing but praise for it...

The 5 speeds and six speeds like different fluids. I say this based upon the fact that

a) Manyt people with the 5 speeds rave about the BG

b) 6 speeds require 75W-85 GL-4 or EXACT equivalent

c) mine, and a few others I know of, did not have good experiences with the BG and a 6-speed.
