Question help with afr!

guys i have a problem...
I have an Evo IX with HKS silent hipower and an ecutek software!
on my belltronics gtech it shows 390 hp at the crank!!!
i tested an stock s4 with that gtech and showed exactly 344.08 hp... so i was thinking that it might show good!
in that situation...do i need a fuel pump?, maybe im runing lean?...(from ecutek i should be runing on 1.6 boost)
Thanx in advance!

PS. By the way ...i raced on 1/4 mile with the new RS4 (420hp) and i won with 2 cars in front!

Well youre definately not actually making 390 crank power. But yes when you get a tune it is a good idea to upgrade fuel. The IXs do have a bigger pump than the VIIIs but its better no to try to run them at a high duty cycle. A 90 dollar Walbro can save you thousands in the long run. Thats just my 2 cents however. The best maintance is preventative maintance.

Doesnt that gtech make popcorn?

Wouldnt take what that thing says for a grain of salt.

By a Wideband thats a btter investment and as the guy said before the Walbro is cheap and can save u

you shouldnt be running past 1.4 bar with no fuel pump.

that only holds true for the evo 8's. according to AL, the 9's have a higher flowing fuel pump and he guessed their flow rate to be 230LPH.

Thats exactly what I said. But running a IX fuel pump past 21 psi you are going way too deep into your duty cycle so throw away the thrashy gtech and get a widenband as suggested cuz they rock and while youre at it a fuel rail isnt a horrible idea either. The stock ones are known to lean the 4th out.

The IX Fuel pump is pretty good, with just a reflash and an exhaust you should be nowhere near running out of fuel. If you think you're running lean (because of an improper tune), I would recommend a PLX wide-band 02 system. There's the base model and there's one that will detect detonation also. It's just a great safety feature to have!

As for the Gtech, I'd get on a dyno. That said I think the new PLX's have a horsepower feature also!

Cheers,

Gary

Shameless plug:
