^That is just simply not true before a certain RPM threshould depending on the turbo. You will be hard pressed to find a dyno plot of a gt35R vs a 16G that makes more power than the 16G before 4k or so, that is the price you pay for the extra 200whp of potential.....

He is right on the money however with the 50 trim, they are probably the best pump gas snail out there.

*** dyno lies to you..... if the car made the same or more power with less boost woudlnt your *** dyno be telling you its faster????

Does anyone have spool numbers on a 50trim? Full boost at what rpm?

Thanks.

That is ttrixes 50 trim with all supporting mods on there dyno... a nice piece of kit as the results show, and I guarantee you it will spool 1000-800 rpm quicker than the smallest ATP kit.

Here is another 50 trim, same kit same dyno different results.

50 Trim should make full boost around 4000-4200 rpm from what I have seen (AFAIK), to be honest if your really just craving a beast of a car to drive around town, do a 2.3 and a 50 trim and you will be overjoyed.

Yeah, but you can get a 50 trim kit for a lot less. It might be an older design, but it is one that works for 4G63s.

^Yeah but they should be sure not to buy one like yours, which have proven to not make power....

Yeah 50trim spools faster, but 76r will make much more power up top. Its a really good turbo. I am looking to get rid of mine now because I want to go bigger.

Looks like the 50 trim spools to full boost by about 5k on the dyno, probably sooner on the road though.

I take it you've been in an 50 trim powered car?

So you wanna reference that ONE guy in Florida with the compression issue. Forget about the other 10 people that actually made power with this kit.

Show me people who made good/decent numbers with it, I havent, where as with the ams/ttrix kit I have seen countless good results....

Yes I have been in a 50 trim powered car. I drive a 3076 powered car.

Why don't you share with us how stellar this kit was on your car?

I honestly do not know how you could be satisfied with 320 ftlbs of tq on a semi race gas tune.....

I honestly am not thrilled with 320 tq. my problem was my stock clutch...it was slipping on the dyno at 390 hp/325 tq. I am getting a new tilton and we will see what it can do. Also with my $2600 turbo kit, I can get an ems(which I did). I am now seeing #'s like 430 whp and 360 tq. I am spending the same as a $4500 turbo kit that is laggy, and I have a turbo kit 3071. Its a little smaller than the 3076 everyone is talking about. The spool up is about 400 rpm quicker in every gear than the 3076...about 3500 in 3rd about 3400 in 4th and about 3200 in 5th. Very close to my stock turbo where it was tuned at w/ cams, gears etc. The best thing is more power than your 2.3 stroker motor with a 3076. BTW the reason your car make good torque and spools quickly is directly attributable to your 2.3 motor(another $3,500 option) Take that same turbo on a stock motor it will be less torque and more lag!

Was that 430 on race? My numbers there were on 20 psi on pump. Now I am not one to make excuses but on the dyno at top speed doug reckoned it wasnt fully broken in, and that somthing was up because after 18 psi it wouldnt make any more power. After putting some miles on it it feels quicker now, sounds different and doesnt shut down instantly, I will be going back on a dyno shortly, one pump gas map and one 110 map, I'll let you know how it turns out. II might just have a 35R by then but who knows.

My #'s were on 4 gallons of 100 and 9 gallons of 91 (which btw is just getting things equal to you guys on the east coast who get the 93 octane as "super unleaded" This is the mix I always run. I think the guy who dynoed it put in 2 extra gallons of 100 to make sure there was no knock. I was running about 24psi of boost. If I had full race I could turn it up to about 27 psi. Good luck with your #'s or gt35r

Any idea what this will spool up at, in 3rd gear for example? I've been thinking about just such a setup recently. The instant boost of the stock turbo has really grown on me over the last year, after running much larger setups for the last few years in the DSM. I've run 35Rs in both 2 liter and 2.3 liter setups, but I never went smaller on the stroker. The 35r on the 2.3 was good for 25 psi at 3700 rpm, so I expect the 3076 will be pretty close to stock or a little better. A 55 lb turbo on a 2.3 motor that will do nearly 65 lbs at 30 psi goes against everything I usually go by when chosing a turbo, but I am becoming a ***** in my old age it seems... And besides, if the 3076 is not enough after trying it, a 35r is still an option at that point.

Any info on boost threshold would be appreciated. I'd search for it, but I get the impression you've run this on more than one car, and that makes for better data. Thanks
