Exedy Twin Plate HD set-up?

I am currently running a Exedy Twin Plate HD clutch in my car. And my question is what kind adjustments do you guys make on the clutch pedal? To be specific how many threads do you see after you make the adjustment on the left side on the nut? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no specific setting. It is all personal preference. Some may prefer the engagement up higher; others may prefer it at the bottom.

Mine is 5-6 threads from the end. Engagement is still a little higher then mid stroke but its where I like it. Get a SS clutch line and remove the restrictor to make the most of it if you haven't already.

The reason I asked because from what I understand you need to set-up the engagement higher then stock so the clutch can properly engage. Jon from Rip recommends to have 3 inches of free play and Exedy recommends about 1 inch. As of right now I think am showing about four to five threads, the more threads you show the higher the engagement??

well, i had a whining noise for a while. thought it was the tires that i had put in the same time i started to hear the noise. turns out the bolt to the fluid just fell out somehow. i dont know how, im guessing it has to be the dealership fault. ofcourse they are not taking blame even though i still have my warranty. its a huge mess right now. for them to replace it is 4800 dollars. any ideas on what i could possibly do?

The more threads you show the lower the engagement. If there is only 1 thread left, the engagement is going to be high.

Break in the clutch for 600 miles, THEN adjust it to your preference. 3" from the floor.
