wastegate solenoid

I went to the mitsu dealer and they told me that my boost problem was that my wastegate solenoid was not hooked up right. I know from the hallman MBC install diagrams that the input just needs to be capped off and the other just runs into the stock intake.

My boost problem now is that with nothing going into the WGA i see 20 PSI. I even removed the MBC because even with it turned all the way up i see more PSI with it off. So i figure it could be my WGA or wastegate.

Is there any possiblity that it could be something with the computer or something telling it not to make anything over 20 psi because that doens't make much sense to me. thanks

With nothing hooked to the WGA the boost will creep to whatever the turbo can do - 28 psi or so, unless your leeking somewhere.

Also, when you remove the lines from the OEM solenoid (MBC install), the connector needs to remain connected to the boost sol or the ECU will sence the open circuit and trigger a fault.

You have a massive boost leak because an opoen WGA nipple will over boost your car - not just 20 psi
