This thread will be really interesting when a disinterested third party actually test these parts and posts the results.

It sounds like Buschur may have a great design, and based on his own findings, it is now worth authenticating his claimed results so that they can be objectively verified.

For now, anything short of that is just a bunch of BS.

My $0.02.

Love the honesty man. Keep it up. I've had the ebay one for over 2 years now. Works and shines like a charm!

Every manufacturer has an opportunity to test their own products. If they had spectacular results to share, their data would already back it up. Not only has Buschur done his own job dynotesting his parts, he has also done the jobs of the other manufacturers too caught up in limited production sales pitches and backorders based on hype to do their own factual based testing.

The only BS here is that the other manufacturers have not done the same test themselves before selling a performance part. Why would they with results like these?

Get out from under DB's desk. I am thankful he has done some dyno testing but in all honesty it would be nice if he answered the direct questions we ask. It would also be nice to see these tests performed on a typical evo with mods thru cams. His car is highly modded and more than likely show more returns than the average EVO would.

I use to have the ebay 02, installation is good, but that thing gave me some major boost creep, maybe thats where the hp come from....but no thanks. I then switch back to stock and no more creep, then swap the stock one for Invidia, fitment and quality is great with no boost creep and on top of that, it comes with a support bracket!

Someone should just sell a weld-on support tab for the e-bay housing. Those would sell well.

Bottom line is the 3" O2 will not be any better than the 2.5" unit at getting exhaust out of the turbo than what the hotside allows to exhaust flow. The only difference comes down to turbulence and other less important factors. In the case of a stock style turbo the 2.5" O2 flows as much as it needs to. That being said it is simply said if you are going to use the stock style turbo then use the Ebay O2.

If you want the suport brake and stock heat shield and caseted design pay more money. Keep your confidence that based on the tests it is still better than the stock O2. All of the upgrades are good choices. Thank you Buschur for posting testing better than any other shop/person would feel to do for free.

Would you mind doing some back to back testing of the Ebay crank pulley vs the stock crank pulley?

I wasn't trying to start anything with you. I was just trying to point out that the 02 housing didn't fit well and you wouldn't have known that since you didn't install it. It wasn't a slam or way to get something going.

BTW, I appreciate your business and the fact that you brought the car to us. I hope you are happy with the work and the tune.

All this talk about retune this and test this and that is getting on my nerves.

You know my car was "tuned" for the stock ported-ceramic coated 02 housing that we port here and use to sell a lot of. Then I bought an Ebay housing just to check it out and at the end of a dyno testing day decided to throw it on the car. NOW SOME OF YOU NEED TO READ THIS NEXT PART!!::

I DIDN'T DO ANY RETUNING WITH THAT PART AND IT PICKED THE CAR UP 13-15 WHP!! Maybe I should have re-tuned the car then too. Problem is sometimes a retune isn't going to do anything. When I look at a datalog and the AFR's stay the same, the knock count stays the same and the boost only varies over a 4,000 rpm test by a maximu of .9 psi there is NOTHING TO ****ING RETUNE.

One other thing. For those of you that are going to buy a part regardless of what testing was performed I have an Invidia 02 housing here I'd like to sell. It has 2 dyno pulls on it.

I think we paid $225 for it. Make me a reasonable offer and you can get it cheap.

David,

First off, kudos to you for doing this test. But I have one question.

If you're gonna go through the trouble of doing all this testing, why not keep one more the variable the same? We all know more boost will make more power. A .9 psi boost increase on your car could have been the difference maker in power.

I am not one to get into a conversation where people are constantly making attacks, but christ people give it a rest. I am not a Buschur "FANBOY" by any means, i am a thirty year old military man who knows how to make his own mind up about parts (with a little help sometimes). Truth being told i run a few Buschur parts , and i do it for a reason....he sells good $hit. Trying to provide a sevice to the community is hard so get off the poor guys @ss. Dave, i am just another face in the crowd to you with high hopes , but to just another working man.... your doing a great job ...thanks for the research!

David, thanks for taking the time to do the tests, the site NEEDS more of this type of testing.

Couple things.

1. To everyone.... the coating isn't going to do jack. If you want to coat something that's going to make a difference, coat your manifold, hot side and down pipe.

2. To all you cry babies... you don't have to justify your purchase. It's YOUR car, do what you like. If we all did the same thing (which seems to be a nasty trend around here) it'd be awfully boring.
