Are you sure, because a second ago you made over 500 ft lbs of tq on just pump gas....... Why don't you take a time out then regroup your thoughts, come back and then post what you made on pump gas!!!!!! I know you had a beast of a car pre GT35R and its even more nuts now, but for the sake of helping everybody out lets make sure we have our facts right. What boost was that 489 ft lbs of tq made at, because to me, that seems unpossible on 93 octane.

.

I agree with you on this, Im also interested in this info as well.

I think you should break it into A/r Also, a 3076 with a .62 A/r might not make the same power as one with .82 A/r lets say. Unless you guys are talking about Peak hp numbers which is nice, but id rather have a fat powerband 4500-7900

Silver car, what dyno, what boost?

As far as the A/R issue maybe, there is no .62 only .63 on the 3076's, plus tq numbers give you a good idea of how wide the power band is/how early the hp is made.

Yeah it is a 2.3l with a evo 9 stock turbo, but again like you said, I am weary of this character....

I can't believe that the stock turbo put out more torque than any of these other cars. That is pretty crazy, make me wane stay with the stocker.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRR.

Sharkbite, thanks, but could you just edit every single one of your posts in this thread that is not pertaining to what your car made on pump gas alone, then edit your latest post to have your graph, and boost information from your PUMP GAS with no alk injection, thanks, just I don't want people to start getting all kinds of confused, this thread is RE:Pump gas numbers only.

Dudical the earlier your car makes peak power/the flatter the powerband the higher the amount of tq. The difference between the tq is from the fact that the stock turbo makes peak power 2k rpms earlier than the big aftermarket turbos, and about 1k rpms sooner than the mid size ones.

p.s. evolgrl: i'll update it now

But for sheer fun on a daily driver car I would think the stock turbo is hard to beat.

You would think that, however I can attest personally that the added TQ and HP from a turbo and displacement is better than keeping the stocker, or just swapping the turbos. The thing I love about my personal combo, (I am sure there are other things about it that other people would like) is the fact that I am making full boost before 4k, (3500-3800ish depending on gear) and am making 360 ft lbs of tq around there, makes it sooooooooooo much more rewarding and fun and easy to drive on the street, tq makes the evo a much more enjoyable DD.

I wasnt happy with my stock turbo because after 5500 rpm the car lost power and was on the way down in HP
