We are having a 10% off sale on our website, and we do have some room to work on our TXS pricing. Shoot me a PM if you want a quote.

Thanks,
Steve

How well does the Turbo XS FMIC work on the Stock Turbo? How well does it compair to that of the AMS/Buschur and so on.

I use this IC for my car, the price was right at the time and it performs well. I don't recall seeing gains when i had the stock turbo.

Sadly i do not have any specs on what it will do on stock turbo. I think that all lies in the hands of who is tuning your car. As for comparing it to buschur/ams, i do not have any personal experience with them. Most of our customers said they have noticed a little power in the butt dyno, more so towards the higher RPMs.

^no facts on my end, just relaying what customers have said.

Edit* After doing a quick search one gentleman got some decent gains https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=208479. Now that may be on an aftermarket turbo, however i do not see why that would not product ANY gains for the stock turbo.

i will have my Turbo-XS FMIC by the end of this week... i am willing to do a test before and after, but unfortunately i have a couple of issues with the shop thats very close to me...

if i find time on a dyno close to me, i wouldn't mind to pay a little bit of dyno time to test the parts that i 'm going to put on the car next, including the Turbo-XS intercooler...

we 'll see...

Sounds great man, looking forward to your results. If anyone else has an AWD dyno near you, we can definitely work out some pricing so we can see some kind of results as to what the TXS can do.

thanks mate...

i already got the intercooler from StiKiller (thanks guys for the great deal) and a couple of hours ago i arranged the installation...

actually i am going to install an o2 housing, the forge wg actuator and the intercooler...

my plan is:

1.dyno the car as is... want to see dynojet #s
2. install the o2 housing and wg together and dyno again
3. install the intercooler and dyno again...

probably i am going to spend quite few time at the shop, but i am very curious to see how these parts work...

Testing will be done next week, as i don't drive my EVO with the Advans on this ****ty NY weather...

intercoolers wont always show a huge increase on a dyno because the car is not moving. The faster the car is moving the more the air is chilled going through it. I dont care what anybody says, take an evo with 350whp on a stock intercooler in 95 degree heat and put a big *** FMIC on and you'll notice a difference. Maybe when its 20 degrees out it wont matter because the stock one doesnt get heat soaked as quick, but over the summer theres a noticeable difference

i totally agree on both things you said... even if we see gains on the dyno then on the road the gains are higher!

i believe that everyone who uses more boost than factory will gain from an upgraded intercooler... a questions that i set on the advanced section tried to start a conversation on this subject...

Pushing the stock turbo at higher boost levels than the factory and even pushing it a little bit out of its efficiency range (lets say over 25-26psi), thus creating a "hairdryer effect", the upgrade of the factory intercooler will "cure" this effect in some way... Of course yes the turbo will "die" faster but this is not the point... The point is that a much more efficient intercooler will help the overworked turbo to give more power...

...Now combine the above during summertime and clearly the stock intercooler is insufficient...

Pulled this info off the TurboXS site:

"Huge bolt on replacement core that is 3.5" x 11.75" x 24" dwarfing the stock core. The bar and plate core design dramatically improves cooling efficiency over the stock tube and fin design. The kit utilizes the factory IC piping or any aftermarket IC pipe kit that works with the stock core. Stainless Steel T-bolt clamps, silicone hose joiners, and all hardware needed included."

I plan on buying one before summer comes.
