I also installed the turbox fmic kit that also included upic and licp the only thing I could not use was the undertray. It fit up nice though and included t-bolts and joining silicone hoses.

So does anyone have dyno numbers to back this thing up?

HP gains from an IC is about the same controvery level as power gains from a LICP. Some say it adds power, others say it does not. Probably depends somewhat on climate too. Year round hot climates will likely benefit.

Well while an IC can be more efficient if it is larger you will have more lag due to having a larger volume of space to move. So I find it hard to believe that putting a larger IC on the stock turbo would/could really drastically improve things unless under track like conditions. IC piping that removes/lessens drastic bends and shortens length i would assume would make a difference as it lowers backpressure on the turbo. Again, without real numbers i cannot see this being worth the investment.

1. Anyone know if there is a different turboxs fmic for the IX vs. the VIII and or if they changed the design at all since they started selling them?

2. Same question but for their LICP

thanks!

this isnt the 1st or last time misleading info is posted on this board.

in a nut shell & I were to do it all over again, i would buy a 3.5" ets for the money.

btw, on the turbo xs fmic, inlet o.d. is 2.5" while the i.d. is ~2.125

I'll have to agree, I've got the 3.5 ETS FMIC and I could tell a HUGE difference from installing that and a Walbro 255.

I had a 19 whp gain off just those 2 mods compared to the OEM I/C.

For the money I'll have to say ETS is the way to go, looks aggressive, keeps all OEM parts, bumper doesn't need modified in anyway, and just the difference from 1st-3rd was extremely noticeable right after install,
