Those beads are far from good. The AMS pipe is definitely cleaner.

It looks like the AMS is aluminum and the Buschur is some kind of SS.

You guys really want to make sure whatever you go with has bead rolled ends. That or have the ends rolled if they don't come that way.

My question is ... Why would you even want welds on a lower? Wouldn't more pipe sections contribute to disruption in air flow?

Don't you want a mandrel bent 1pc lower?

I found some photos of the Nisei Engineering Lower and the only welds on it are holding a mounting bracket on.

Check it out.

I am not a sheet metal guy so I am not an expert to give a profesional opinion on the welding however I can tell you that the piping is well alignned.

I just got underneath the car and saw my AMS LICP. Now I am convinced that many critics from you guys are just pure smack talk. I will go and take the Buschur Pipe and the AMS pipe and take a pic of both welding. There is nothing wrong about the Buschur One.

Perhaps I would put the criticism to the side after I download the pics.

Pic #1 is AMS
Pic #2 is both
Pic#3 is both
Pic #4 is AMS
Pic #5 is Buschur

How are you trying to compare an aluminum pipe(AMS) in the pic you showed to stainless(Buschur's) You do know aluminum is much harder to weld than stainless. Also it seems on one of those pipes also the coupler is made out of Diesel truck radiator hose.

STR8ryda,

Those Nisei piping look really pimp . I guess that the Evom customer has a huge variety of LICP to choose from, some expensive, some funtional, some ugly, etc.

I hope everyone makes their right choice based on feedback from people that already try them.

Scorke,

Since you are convince that the robots do the best welding job in the world here I am attaching a couple of pics of my cracked headers (By the way welded by a robot).

The pictures are from my DC sport header and this is what DCsports claims :

Our flanges are CNC machined, we machine-grind the flange mating surface to ensure a leak-free seal and use a robotic welder to attach the flange to the header pipes. When possible, we scallop the flanges (remove excess material) to further reduce weight. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing process ensures superior quality and a perfect fit with every header system we make.

Sports headers are CNC mandrel bent using data acquired from a non-contact digitizing scanner for consistent production of every system. Equal length primary piping and cylinder matching ensures the best performance for your ride.

I am not trying to start a war of vendors but Hey we must cover all aspects...

my .2c
