HELP with Radiator, any evo owner can help

Hey guys, I dont have an EVO, I have an EVO engine in my galant and being that alot of mtisu parts are interchangable, I was wondering if someone can post the dimensions of the stock EVO radiator and also the width between the 2 mounting "pins" on the top and bottom of the radiator. My stock radiator is only 5/8" thick, believe it or not, with my 1600CFM fan the car doesnt over heat, but it gets right to 205 degrees, which is a little hot for my liking, im hoping the stock EVO radiator, being that its thicker, can solve my problems. thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

The top pins are 26 3/8" apart. The bottom pins do not line up with the top pins, they are closer. I'd have to remove my Beatbush undercover to measure the dimension between them - not something I am willing to do for this.

The extreme width of the radiator (at the tank seam) is 28". The extreme height of the radiator is about 18.5 inches. The core is 1 3/8" thick and the extreme width, again at the tank seam is 2 1/8".

The radiator inlet is about centered and the outlet is on the driver's side. This all on an Evo 8.

Hopefully this will be enough information for you to determine if an Evo radiator will work.

traction isnt too bad, I have a quaife LSD. I ran 13.6@107mph in the rain on drag radials. I have a full weight car and I had a spare, jack and random tools in the trunk too. That particular pass, I had dyno'd the night before at 369.9whp@18psi stock head and SC61 turbo. That was also my first time with this car at the track, so I need to work on my driving a bit.

this is how the car looked about 2 months ago. this motor is no longer in the car, I had some detonation on the dyno and cracked a piston. that particular pull it made 457whp@23psi on pump. It cracked because the timing got a lil too aggressive for the pump gas. I got a 2.4 motor in the works, AEM EMS and meth injection.

Very nice! What did you use for a tranny? Evo tranny and make a transfer case block off plate? I'd love to see more of this project as it comes along.

I acutally used a 2001 Eclipse tranny. My car was only available in an automatic, so I swapped it over to 5 speed. I have had a ton of problems and blown motors already. My biggest problem was my engine management and the lack of a competent person to tune it, since its not very main stream like AEM. I am actually in process of switching over to an EVO EMS and re-wiring my harness so it will be plug and play. Essentially the 00-05 eclipse 5 speed harness and EVO harness are identical. My stock harness is for an auto trans so it has more bs, nothing a pair of wire cutters and a soldering iron cant solve. When its all up and running again I will post some vids and new pics.

nice, i love seeing swaps like that making killer sleepers. @ hot import nights in atlantic city I saw a full evo\mirage 2 door conversion. It was sick, evo motor, tranny, transfer case, the whole shabang. WOuld love to have that car, at first I thought it was chopped like the norris evo9. Later found out it was full evo converison. Liscense plate said shop evo and think it was from maryland.
