Update..515 whp/362 ft bls, 93 octane alone........

I was pretty happy this morning so I figured a new post would to this more justice.

Came in with the temps not in the 95's this morning. Made a pull with Nick's car again. First pull was 525 whp BUT the curve was not smooth and the car had a little knock. I pulled a few degrees of timing from the curve and hit again.

515 whp/362 ft lbs of torque. The car is an monster. This was done on STRAIGHT 93 OCTANE. No alcohol.

For a quick run down again, as it is in the other thread from yesterday at 475 whp.

2003 Evolution.

BR Stage 3, 2.3 liter engine
BR Stage 3 head
Jun cams (Revolvers on back order)
BR turbo kit with T67 Ptrim turbo (using our custom header)
Full 3" turbo back
BR Race FMIC
1200 cc injectors
AEM EMS
AMS intake manifold
Stock BR 65 mm throttle body
BR HO intank single fuel pump

This car is freaking beast!! Below is the dyno sheet, you can see how rich I am running the AFR's. They dipped down to 10.9 at one point, mostly around 11.3-11.4:1. Maximum boost was 22 psi!!

I still have a lot of work to do on the tune. Had a goal in mind of 500 though this morning and wanted to hit it. Very easy. Now for the alky and some boost.

Very impressive, peak torque around 4500rpm . Could only imagine what this turbo could do with alcohol/meth injection.

Nice numbers and powerband for 93! Think you will try the JUN cams with a 20g-9? Would be interesting to see how they compare against the Revolves...

Good stuff, why is it that torque numbers are so much lower than whp?

Dave, awesome work! Quick question: how late is the spool on this customer's car? Are we talking "Drag" monster, or "Road-Racing" monster? (I can't see the dyno file)

Just checked the logs on this. I am more amazed now. The car is making 20 psi at 4422 rpm. Still feels laggy on the dyno compared to a stock turbo (no kidding right?) but 20 psi at 4422 rpm is impressive.

Every big turbo I have ever seen dyno'd on a small cubic inch engine at low boost makes low torque.

This car will be very streetable, not a drag monster, that isn't what he wanted. As a matter of fact it is getting full KW road race suspension when it comes off the dyno and aligned.

We now have laser toe alignment equipment, corner scales and caster/camber tools.

How much for the turbo/manifold alone david? What sort of gate are you using on this setup? Which Jun's are you using 264's I am assuming?

Crazy pumpgas numbers Dave. Smoke a Viper on 93 octane, great stuff. Little laggy looking though.

This entire turbo kit, header, turbo, 02 housing, oil feed and return line, 44 mm Tial gate, dump tube for wastegate is $4599. Header is thick walled SS, TIG welded. I can get a picure up of the kit if you guys want.

TTP the graph makes it look laggy just because it keeps climbing in power/torque. It actually is no laggier than a GT35R, as you can see above it is making 20 psi of boost at 4422 rpm. That's not too bad.

What was the target psi?

The Jun's are the 272's. I won't be testing them in a 20G car I don't believe. I have used a few of these over the last month or so as I can't get what I want to run, backordered. That's all I have to say about them.

A few other shops really like the Jun's that I have spoken with but they have not tested back-to-back with Revolvers. I have tested back to back as of lasts week from the Jun in a customers car that had HKS 280's in it. We ran into some problems, seemed to track it down to the cams. I ended up re-installing the 280's. From what I could see there was no power difference in the two sets of cams. I went to see which ones they were for sure and there is no identifier on the cams or the box they came in. I did see the spec sheet and lift on them was 10.8. Anyone up on the Jun's may be able to tell from that. I think that makes them the 264. This is concerning a car last week, not this week.

The Juns that are in this car I got from AMS, maybe they can enlighten us on what they are. I think the 272's.
