This car on C16 ran 139 mph already. This was at the shootout and the car had transimission problems we didn't know about when we had it apart. It won't stay in 1st gear. So when you try to launch it, the shifter pops out of 1st, then you have to grab second which was followed by a very long "bog" from lack of RPM. This car should be able to easily run 143+ trap speeds, as that is what my brothers just ran with the same basic power level and combination.

Dave,
I'm in ATL now. I vill definitely have some better times soon. I still haven't figured out what the trans. problem is though. I still think it's the short shifter. I don't think it's the trans because when I picked the car up after the TRE trans. went in it was doing it. It did it before that also. It's holding me back from getting a good launch that is why my times haven't been great. However the first time out I ran a 10.8 @135, w/ a 1.9 60ft. As soon as I get the launch taken care off I am gunning for the 9's. If not you guys will have to build me a f'en rocket kit. HA Hope all is well in OH. PM me sometime

Any data on stroker life at 8500rpms+ that these engines turn while trapping 137mph+?

Hope you enjoy ATL. Nice weather down there.

I'll shoot you a PM.

As for the the longevity of the stroker at 8500+ rpm. I haven't seen one fail from RPM yet so I can't answer the question

What was the cause of the failed motor at 10,000rpms in FL?

Why in the world would you spin a stroker to 10k?

Good turbo choice and nice work! I've done 550+ whp on that turbo on 93 octane and I have no idea why anyone is questioning these numbers...especially since it's a built engine with head work. The T series turbos are designed so their efficiency peaks at lower pressure levels as compared to turbos like the 35R so they're more effective on pump gas.

I bet it's a blast. Enjoy!

TTP, ah, I forgot about that and that was recent. Actually the reason for failure on that engine isn't exactly known but it appeared as though the valves came in contact with the pistons and knocked the rod bearings out of the engine. That is as close as we could come to guess as all the valves had hit the pistons and the pistons with the worste damage had the worste rod bearings in those cylinders.
