Whistling Sound?

Well about an hour ago I was leaving a friends house and all of a sudden i noticed some strange "whistle" everytime i would release the gas. It sounded as if it was coming otu of the bov. As I drive home, I notice that the whistle pitch gets higher with more rpms. And everytime i would let go of the gas, the whistling would die down until nothing was heard. I don't think this is a boost leak, because it doesn't really sound like a hissing. My LICP fell off a little while ago while I was at the track. Could that have anything do do with it? The sound almost sounds liek a tea kettle thats starting to whistle, and after you take it off the stove, it dies down. I've been driving the car all day, and haven't heard that sound once. Mods include, XS IC, XS UICP & LICP, agency power intake, mbc, Forge Atmospheric Dump Valve, and APS 3" TBE. (turboxs utec road tune)

You can't "bump" 10 minutes later!! You are still on the main page!! Boost leak, gotta search on this one, I am too tired.

you can still have a leak and not lose boost, your turbo just works harder to supply that amount of boost.

alright thanks! I'll look around a little bit tonight and see if there is any noticeable leak, but if not, I'll just use that boost leak tester from smokedmustang's thread. Thanks for the help guys.

Check for a leak, a whistling noise is key here. What can make a whistling noise? Boost leak, air moving past something.

well i tried to do it at around 3 in th e morning, with no luck. Partially because i didn't have everything i needed, and partially because i was falling asleep half the time. But it will be in the shop tomorrow waiting for a new turbo mainfold. So while its there, the shop is gonna do a "thorough" check for leaks. I think i may have found the problem though, coming from some hosing form the bov. But, I will know for sure in the near future. Thanks for all the help. Oh and i just noticed what time yous ent this. If only i was up an hour longer....

kinda, sorta not really. From what i did befor ei left it at the shop, i found no leak. Today the bov was taken apart to check foe gonna do r any problems with the internals and nothign was wrong. So the guys at the shop are going to do some more tests for leaks, check the turbo and try and figure out the problem. If the turbo bllew, then i guess you guys had better help me figure out which turbo to get. Car is gonna be tracked often, road racing, time attack, etc. any suggestions?

ok well to all who have helped me, it was not a boost leak, nor internal p[roblems with the bov. Nor were there problems wiht the turbo (sob, coulda bought a 50 trim). It turned out that some bolts got loos on the gasket, and so, a new gasket will be coming soon. But, thanks a lot for all of your help guys.
