Yeah it is 21.7, but he posted 23 and I did not read your posts.
I was clear in my post, I mentioned if he used ECUTECH, then the price is $650. There is a license fee for the Ecutech flash that does not go to the tuner. Unless that has changed or you are eating the cost of the license fee.
At $299, he probably got the Ecuflash that does not carry a license fee. He is still going to pay extra for the retune no matter how much it is. He could have saved that money had he installed a whinebro before he got the car tuned.
I really hope that his car is putting 350 whp on a dynojet w/o. That would be a record number for a car with TBE, manifold, O2 housing. Cars that put 350 on a dynojet usually add cams to the mix.

I am not certain that there is an Evo tuner in the USA that still uses ECUTEK after the release of ECUFLASH. Ecuflash accomplishes the same feat and is a better price point for the consumer / faster reflashing process and on and on.
I agree it should have been installed prior to the tune. I will work it out with Miguel to buy the pump and install from us and relog / adjust the tune for free.

Hey Miguel, I noticed that Scott changed your fuel pump, left the old one on the floor and left....guys if you need stock parts for your evo just stop by the dumpster closest to ttp, they have everything from fuel pump to nuts, bolts and even that POS stock exhaust system that I donated to them
At what point from a hp perspective would you consider upgrading the evo 9 pump? I know they pump better than the evo 8 pumps, but I'm still curious when you see most of the 9 pumps start to fall behind?
+1... I'm also interested on finding out the answer for this but too lazy and sleepy right now for search, i'm going to buy a walbro one anyways just because so many tuners say that it is not neccesary but recommended and I better play it safe.

I have all the basic mods: 3in tbe catless, intake, manifold, 02 housing, custom dynoflash, PLUS GSC 272's and i'm running almost the same times/mph as you.
AND I was running 100oct with a race map on my best pass, and I believe you did this on 93pump.
If there something I should check. Compression, boost leak, etc....?

I'm sure 8 pumps are equally inconsistant, but those are swapped out for Walbros almost immediatly, esspecially at power levels where we would notice failure. Though i wasnt around in 2003 when Evos were first being tuned, so there may have been a fuel pump epidemic that i am unaware of.
