Yeah, you should definitely upgrade to a 10.5 hotside.

Scott,
I would like to hear some mod lists for Evo 9's that you have done that have track times or Dyno runs let me know. I will be up there is about 4 weeks or less for a custom dyno tune i have a 3in Tubro XS TBE catless, AEM intake, Mini Battery, Hallman RX, 255lb pump anything else i should add before i come up you can think of which will have good gain with the 9? I was thinking about the SBR full front mount but will see i might just get a LICP, UICP but not sure who to go with.

Should be good to 12.2-12.4 with those mods and a good driver.

You think with those mods and a Custom Dyno tune 12.4ish on pump gas? What mph are you assuming because i ran faster then that in my Evo 8 with same mods more or less.

The 9.8 hotside is not what is holding you back.
Yes, it would be a nice upgrade.

Intake, TBE, pump, MBC.

This is assuming an average driver on pumpgas 93.

With those parts you should be around 12.1 and 330 whp in a IX as opposed to 300 whp and 12.3-12.4 in an VIII; with a very good driver and no boost leaks.

Yeah i should be able to dip into the 11s on pump gas and a 1.6 60ft with what will be on the car if i get a good enough custom tune. I have seen many IXs from back up north put down 300/300 just with a custom tune, And there is a few out there running 12.0s 114mph with exhaust, mbc, and intake, and tune on pump. I just want the best tune i can get i know how important they are and i willing to do whatever it takes to get the best one.

May be nothing. Your car could be doing fine with the current mods you have. May be it needs more mods. Or it could need a nice tune. Or something could be wrong with it. Who knows! The hotside is a good upgrade, but it is not holding your car back. Many cars run just as good with the 9.8 hotside, including my car.

Yeah TTP said my custom tune was way off (i'll keep the tuners name out). So i'm going to get re-tuned by them.
