Which 37R? The AMS 37R or a real Garrett 37R.

Well, there are 3 garrett GT37R's and they are all BB and cant be had in a conventional bearing arrangement. They all use the same turbine wheel which is a GT37 84 trim but they use different compressors which are all GT40 based. The three compressors are 50 trim 82mm exducer, 56 trim 86mm exducer and a 52 trim 88mm exducer. This info is available on the Garrett website.

The AMS GT37R is kind of a slang name. I know it's a 67mm (inducer) compressor because I've measured one and I think the turbine wheel is a P trim.

Getting my set up back from AMS at Nopi in Norwalk after they installed new twin fuel rail system.

I'll get exact numbers an post them but from what Eric told me he said the car with safe tune made about 710 whp on C-16 and around 575whp on pump/meth.

Hope that helps.

How is yours on the street? You had a 35r before on a 2.0L, does the new kit spool like the old kit or better? BR has my motor done and now I need to decide if I want his 35r or the 37r. I am going with almost the same buildup as yours but a ported stock mani and tb.

It's MUCH better on the street compared to my old set-up. It's spools faster and harder. With the motor flowing much better (ie. head, mani's, etc) and having more displacement this thing is a beast on the street. You can't go wrong with either turbo.

Dave just ran a 9.97 on his 35R with the FP housing in full street trim. The way you drag race I wouldn't think you would have a problem recreating those numbers w/ a 35R.

On the 37R, @ 30psi. I was running 140MPH traps and ran a 10.8 (w/a 1.9 60ft) The car is going back two weeks from now for the new fuel pump 40-40+psi. tune. I have some turbo V8's down here I need to take care of.

Sorry for the hyjacking

It looked pretty impressive for power from 4500rpm on up. I am thinking the 37r is the way to go, it looked like you were making 20psi @4500 which is about as good as most of the 35r's I have seen. My guess is 20psi on the 37r is a lot more air then on a 35r. Are you going with the dual fuel kit from BR?

I am going with the duel fuel kit from BR. You will also need it if you plan on running high boost. I'm already running out of injector on my race gas tune, and meth+pump tune. I'm currently runnin Rc's 1200 cc injectors with a BR HO pump, and a fuel pressure regulator...

What happened to your Porsche idea?
