I had an ACT and LOVED it, worked perfectly. It must be adjusted properly and if it is, it shifts nice.

I trust his opinion and experiences. You jump out and say its ACT after you go and put nonreliable fluid in the tranny. When I miss a gear, I know its me. Much like a computer, it knows what to do. you just have to tell what and when properly. 10% rule!!!!
Sheps dealing through ACT has nothing to do with his evo trans rebuilds, ACT's are for dsm's hands down, I wouldnt ever put one on my evo again It grabbed hard it definatly grabbed but it was harsh to harsh they grab harder then they should and i didint like the feel of shifting. Don't call shep and ask him because obviously he is an ACT supporter.

I'm going to chime in on this topic, since its an exact case that i am currently in arbitration against the dealer for damages. First, my car has 11k miles on it, and already has had to have 3 clutches installed, and a SHEP tranny rebuild. First 2 stock clutches failed, and then i decided to buy a better, stronger holding clutch, so i went with the ACT street clutch. NOTE: 5th gear grinded from the first week i bought the car off the lot. The dealer told me its normal, and will go away. Never went away btw. Once i got my ACT installed, everything was fine, except the 5th gear grind and occasional lockout of reverse, (which was happening before the new clutch install). After 2 weeks on the ACT clutch, reverse locked out for good. Took it into the dealer, of course they wouldnt warranty anything, and said it was the tranny. Had shep do the tranny rebuild, and found 3rd,4th,5th, & reverse synchros were bad, and several sliders were bad too. So had to have a new tranny sent and installed! 5k later, nothing grinds, nothing locksout, and shifting is 100%. Based on this experience, i cannot find any evidence that the ACT clutch had anything to do with the tranny failure. However, when the mitsu dealer installed the second stock clutch, they destroyed the TC, causing it not to seal properly and leak for a long period of time un-noticed. This may be the cause for the tranny failure. I am now suing the dealer for the TC wreckage, and possible tranny failure.

I"ve had the ACT in for over a year and no problems.

I'd attribute your issues to the BG fluid you used, not the clutch.
