Wideband sensor placement for IX

As I understand the O2 bung is placed on the stock cat for the IX's. So, where do you place the second sensor for the wideband meter?

Any IX addressed this?

Just picked up a IX SE and planning to install the exhaust and wideband...

my point is that the IX has stock bung on the cat vs. the midpipe of the VIII. So, where would you find that second bung for aftermarket wideband sensor whether you're running cat or test pipe.
I don't want to make a trip to welding shop just to install wideband...

to get an accurate reading you would wan it before the cat. and since it's a turbocharged vehicle you want to to be about 28" from the turbo. too close would be too hot for the sensor

Yeah, it doesn't matter where the 2nd o2 bung is - you need to weld a new one in the downpipe for the wideband.

2fas4u, have you gone to the track yet?

When you get a new exhaust it will have 2 bungs, one the on the test pipe and one right after the test pipe. I put the stock 2nd o2 sensor in the 2nd bung, and I will put the wideband in the bung on the test pipe.

Does your setup create accurate 02 readings?

I don't know yet, that's why I said "I will put the wideband..." meaning I have not done it yet, but I am sure the readings will be fine, why wouldn't they be accurate???

Here's where I have mine! In the stock downpipe...16' away from the turbo.. before the cat just had to have a o2 bung welded in....(ZEITRONIX)
Works fine.
