I've read through the IX cam forums and you'd be surprised how many people already said that though.. They don't realize that after the first few initial mods, the cost of horsepower isn't so cheap.

It may or may not be a weak gain in torque - you can't base it off this setup with a 2.4L and a GT35R. They don't gain peak torque the same way we do on stock turbos. What you should focus on is that the torque curve flattens, which is why there is more HP up top. A bigger concern would be the loss of spoolup caused by the cams.

Yes, EvilEvo, he shouldn't need cams to hit 11s - he should purchase an MBC, a custom flash, and the driver mod before worrying about cams. Also, your setup may be affordable compared to the car in this thread, but the cost of your parts is a bit high compared to most IXs who don't get Works parts. However, your setup will be great for getting some useful results for the masses.

Could you elaborate? I don't understand what you're saying.

There are IX cam forums? Wow.

Relevance to this particular thread? Zero

Warrtalon always ready to take a shot at Works. Just let em test, dont worry about whos runnin what parts. A turboback is a turboback right? No need for the drama, and it just makes you look bad.

yeah Warr, I hear ya. My car in no way compares to the money needed to match the car above. What I was trying to say is that I have the basic simple bolt-ons most Evo people go with anyways. I have gone with Works parts but thats just me. HKS, JIC, Buschur all make good parts that all compare to the parts I have. so the "normal" customer should be able to see what the cams can really do.

Why does the 15WTQ matter?

Look at the HP after 5300RPM - it is above the Base HP line the rest of the powerband..

Since this setup seems to be for dragging, I'd say the HP gains are worth it.

How many times are you below 5300 in a drag race ?

First we are in a thread, and Warr made a post, just a FYI.

Second, love or hate Warr the guy knows his $hit, I was not a big fan of Warr when I first signed on to the mess called a Evo Forum, Its not the Mods or the people who made this site but the, Evo Owners Big Egos, so much talk....who cares we all have the same car

Back to the Topic on hand, Parts are Parts, I dont care what anyone says, some give you alittle more HP, some give you alittle more TQ, Some Bling, some are complete crap. Parts should not be based off what someone says on this board, but how much you can afford. I went with Works parts, not because of this board but because, I like the products, and the gains, oh and I can afford them

now back to the THREAD..."COSWORTH EVO IX CAM RESULTS"
