I think they are adding install price to cost of the cams alone.

You're like the 8th person to ask this. It's over 1k because of the titanium valve springs and retainers. It's up to you if u want to buy them or not, but it's safter to have them even though you dont HAVE to.. . Reading FTW.

Here is pricing for cams and installation. I suggest anyone who is doing the cams to just put head studs in while you are in there. I am very happy with my cams. The car feel much better and the low end loss isn't great enough to out weigh the mid-high RPM gains.

Cosworth MIVEC Camshaft Set: $549.00
WORKS Valve Springs & Ti Retainer: $379.00
Cosworth Head Studs: $120.00
6 Hours Installation: $480.00

well, are the valve springs and retainers completely necesary, if not what can happen if u dont get them, with the cam upgrade?

supposidly they're not COMPLETELY necessary if you dont rev over 7k. But better safe than sorry.
