I still wouldnt pay that amount for 20whp and they also HIGHLY recomend upgraded springs, valves and retainers, something you may wana look into doing

 

The car was tuned with VP101 octane, at 25psi of boost. on my way home I turned the boost up to 30psi, and man the thing was nasty (I point out the VP101 because the car normaly runs GT109) but the car idles just fine, and there are no other issues.

My driving impressions, I love them. on the highway they are great but even light to light they are amazing. the car feels faster all around, and the acceleration is insane. like I said im happy and I back the Cosworth products 100%

 

so these gains were on race gas and 25psi?

guys i heard something about greddy and hks had mivec cams at the sema show is that true

 

probably not cause someone would have confirmed this already but dont take my word for it

 

Clarification: he was running on the same boost but on a different brand of gas.

Before the install: tuned on GT Plus 109 from Sunoco with a 104 octane rating. (supplied thru the shop).

After the install: tuned on VP Race gas at 101 octane (b/c we ran out of Sunoco GT Plus at the shop) at the same 25psi.

I heard this also and I believe it to be true. regardless of if it is or is not tho, I guarantee more companies are going to be coming out with evo IX cams as time passes, now the question is just how much time. I would be shocked if companies like Greddy, HKS etc... dont get in on this before spring.... I guess time will tell.

 

GREDDY and HKS are both comming out with Mivec cams, and yes they were both at SEMA.

 

my friend showed me a Greddy catalog a week ago, and i looked at the list of cams and i noticed 4g63 mivec on the list. No price though. I was curious when they'd release.
