But only needed pedal adjustment to fix

Just installed Exedy Stage 1 clutch with resurfaced flywheel. Have 150 miles on it

Is it normal that I have to slip at 2000 rpm to get the car to move? any lower and the car will vibrate so I have to slip higher up and smoke it just to back up

It just grabs, vibrates, and scrapes instead of slipipping heating and then holding

Would removing the restrictor in the release cyl help?

EDITED TO ABOVE: Pedal adjustment fixed and I am glad (thanks to 992gnt)

i hav the same clutch with resurfaced flywhell too
it works perfectly fine for me, other than the expected noise wen letting off the gas while rolling along in gear
but i do get a heavy grinding sound followed by a nasty burning smell when tryin slowly creeping up steep hills, such as taking off at a stop light on an incline
however if yer gettin those problems on level ground, in normal accelerating conditions, u may wanna hav whoever installed it take another look
its a good clutch but installation may hav been faulty

Did you adjust the clutch pedal? I'd be willing to bet that's the number one cause of premature death of an aftermarket clutch. It should engage similarly to the stock clutch. Hopefully you haven't slipped it too much and ruined it already...

No, the thing engages way before I lift the clutch, like by 1/2 up, it's been long engaged.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with install, I spent 3 weeks doing it myself, ever bolt was torqued 4 -5 times until target. I even completely overhauled the release fork

I'm guessing the people who resurfaced my flywheel may have dropped it or the flywheel was damaged befor I got it. or maybe pressure plate was dropped. I don't know, I went through the meticulous trouble of installing right for this

Maybe it needs a little abuse nows a good time becuse I pissed off
