Where to find switched power behind the dash?

I can't find my multimeter so I hope someone can help me. I'm looking for some easily accessed switched power either behind the radio or behind the dash, near the headlight leveling switch. Can anyone help me? A search of the forums hasn't given me anythign useful.

www.mitsubi****echinfo.com gives you all the circuit diagrams. You should be able to find one there.

I've never had any luck on that site. It either is down or doesn't return a result for me after 15 minutes.

Switched via the ignition.

The circuit diagrams make it look like it's fuse #23 in the fuse box, a 10A fuse. It's pin 10 on the C103 connector to the radio, which is in the middle of the bottom row, a Blue-Yellow wire (probably blue with a yellow stripe?). That same Blue-Yellow wire should be pin 22 off the C129 connector to the fuse box.

This is all from the circuit diagrams on the site, I haven't actually seen or tested these connections myself.

Ignition fuse is the way to go.

You can't find switched power behind the stereo? How about the power for the stereo? You didn't mention what you want the power for, but if it's gonna draw too much current, then you can just replace the fuse for the stereo. That's the simple way.

Otherwise, you could run from the ignition circuit directly, but that may not be easy to fine - I have no idea anyway.

I took the center console apart and just tapped the pin for the 12V outlet. It's for a valentine one, so not too much current, and definitely less than what a lighter takes. Ran the cable behind the dash, up the a-pillar, and under the headliner. Now I have a 12V outlet again. I used the service manual from www.mitsubi****echinfo.com to figure out how to take things apart. Thanks again for everyone's help.
