walbro with install kit needed?
OK this post appears to be going the WRONG direction.
4 Wheel Slide -- You asked if you needed a Walbro Fuel pump for your 9....The answer as given by several members and tuners in the know is NO....Yet you are now saying that you will get one ??? I would highly recommend you stay with the stock fuel pump until your scans are showing that you are running out of fuel....
FWIW -- The Walbro pumps whine.....

If you weren't gonna go to alkie, then I would say that given your trap speeds(props
!) that you are putting down some serous power and you might as well get the higher volume pump, even on a leaner race gas map.In regard to the install kit, I am of the opinion that the it is necessary so that the pump seats completely and doesn't bypass fuel back into the tank. It's a pretty cheap gizmo, anyway.
So, in dissent..... I vote no on the pump , no to the adjustable FPR, and yes on the install kit, which as a practical matter you won't need anyway because you won't actually be needing the pump, if you'll be running alky.
