requirements to run 50trims/gt30/gt35r

not many guys running 50trim turbos but i do have questions about the fuel requirements to run turbos of this size(50trim/gt30/gt35)...can stock with the exception of a 255 fuel pump good enough to run 20-23lbs of boost?...or would i have to upgrade the injectors to 680+?...i know meth would do the job and i do plan on running it but i would like to see if the turbo kit that im getting be able to push out good pump #'s...oh do i need upgraded headstuds to run the 50trim @ 20-23lbs?

--i know that people with upgraded turbos do have bigger inj./meth/headstuds as a saftey margin...

Headstuds are only "needed" if you don't feel like spending 3 weeks trying to get all the oil out of your cooling system and replacing every piece of rubber in the system after lines start blowing on their own one by one. Some poeple pop the HG on the stock bolts with a realtively mild setup, others push the stretchy bolts much further. You can see how far you can make it, or you can do it early as more of a preventative thing. I wish I had done it sooner and saved some time, but to each his own. The job only took a few hours pulling the head anyway, and half the time is spent fighting with all the stock bracketry and bull**** that is now in the weight savings pile.

Some people will stretch the stock bolts and have issues, others will have issues with the upgraded headstuds that need to be retorqued a time or two. Both are rare and chances IMO are about the same either way....I'm on the stock studs and will stay like that until proven otherwise. I tune my own setup so I'm much more on top of the well-being of my engine compared to the avg. end user.

upgraded injectors for a 50trim + are a necessity. Headstuds would be a good idea, but not sure at what point they are necessary. If you detonate, you can blow the HG really easy, amongst other bad things

Are you trying to tell me something I don't already know, "buddy?" I prefer to do it the right way. If you're too lazy to pull the head and too cheap to spring for a new gasket, or perhaps not intelligent/experienced enough to deal with the timing belt, do it the lazy way. But don't push that hack bull**** on me.

If you install head studs and still have issues, they were not installed properly. I had some issues until I started doing it the right way. Feel free to learn from the mistakes I made when most poeple on this forum were still ****ting in thier pants.
