Slowly running out of gas can cause some serious combustion temps - fuel also cools that - so boosting was bad, not to mention use up remaining fuel.

Owners manual even says running out of gas will harm car.

Hopefully nothing is ruined, but at least replace FP to be safe if it gets safe.

Watch me go run out of gas today
how much is a fuel pump? it is hard to replace?

lol. Drove about 25 miles today with the light on. I was staring at it the whole time behind my boost guage - paranoid!

Btw, as someone mentioned, I've also gotten my guage to point below the 'E' line. Kinda just to see if I could. Not sure how far that was after the light came on, probably ~30 miles.

Never experienced the 'governer' issue. I usually fill up early, since I'm picky about where my 93 comes from!
