TTP: dyno plot for your latest setup
Basically, nitromethane is just gas and nitrous combined together. If Scott or Curt have tried 'alternative fuels', then I'm guessing it was alongs the lines of nitromethane injection.
Eric
Its not as much of an issue when run separate but a major failsafe will be needed because if the pump failed for whatever reasons the consquences would be horrid, I am all for nitromethane injection and I hope someone develops a safe system, hell I would be the first to buy it but from what I have experienced so far, the gains are great but we are a aways from it as our motors are not designed to withstand high concentrations of it at this point either...hopefully in the future we will see some nitromethane kits out...
It's probably a mixed system with NitroMethane, Nirtous, Methanol, and E85 all mixed together. Am I close?
Congrats Man!
I don't care what you do to make it that fast on stock turbo. As long as you can do it safely I'll buy it.

I have run nitromethane, meth, dH2O and nitrous all at once on my stock block and its a hell of a combo...more should try it, maybe after I post some dyno graphs people will see...
What alternative fuel was Curt supposedely using? I tuned the car each time it set a record, the 10.5 on stock turbo, the 10.5 on the LT, the 9.3 on the 35r and the 9.3 on the 37r, all tuned by me. I'd like to know what fuel I was tuning as far as I know he had C16 in it. No alky and certainly no nitrous.

Nitromethane doesnt mix with gasoline. It seperates and will remain seperate. You can however use Nitropropane or propolene oxide with gas based fuels. Nitro requires alcohol to mix.
Nitromethane in gas tank will eventually become n-bunanitromethane or even methylvitonamine (JK, I'm so damn funny) as your new black fuel exits the injector. Well, I exaggerated but rubber is soluble, not to mention fuel injector parts, in nitromethane. And furthermore as John upstairs said, nitromethane is too polar to be miscible in nonpolar fuel type solvents (gaasss)

Nitromethane indeed mixes with gas. It just needs a mixer like methanol to keep it suspended. And as little as 1% is good for .1-.3 and 5mph. pricechemical.com

Something about Nitropropane (in case you thought it was a joke):

Ultimate CC, I take it that you have used the Nitro-Booster from Snow Performance: http://www.snowperformance.net/prodd...p?prod=Auto120

if you interested in some let me know, or if you have questions, I will have a dyno graph of before and after shortly...
