oil leak...please help
Been searching all day for this answer, and this looks like it. From user:
Phenix fya
Already replaced mine, wasn't hard to do.
Optional:remove Intake pipe.
Remove BOV
Remove top section of IC pipe
Remove Top Radiator Hose
Remove Turbo Coolant hose
Replace
And reverse
45mins tops and doesn't require mechanical skills
I have never done this much, but it seems very do-able. All I need is the hose, but don't want to get it from a Mitsu dealer. Should a regular coolant hose the same size be o.k. I guess? Thanks for all the help, I gotta get it running! Oh, and what should I do about all the coolant sprayed everywhere in my engine bay?

Well, first of all, you can't be driving with antifreeze leaking. This engine (aluminum head on iron block) will warp the head every time. If you think you have problems now, a blown head gasket will make you quickly forget them. So, park the car and make other arrangements until you get it fixed.
What's wrong with going to the dealer. They have the parts book and all the parts fit. Yeah, sometimes they can be pricey, but we are talking about a hose here. What is nice about the better hoses is the bends are formed in them when made. Another thing about the dealer some people don't know is that they get parts overnight - they always say about a week. So, say, "No, I want it tomorrow."
But, for one hose, stock coolant hose, as long as it has the same inside and outside diameter should be fine. From the look of the clamp, I'd suggest the hose on there now is not OEM. So make sure to buy hose that fits snugly.
As for the spilled antifreeze, hose it off with a garden hose but don't spray with pressure.

I only drove about 200 yards afterwards, it is parked now. It's sitting all alone in a bad parking lot overnight. The problem I have going to the dealer or anywhere right now is expense. Tow plus labor is just too much. Plus, I dont want Mitsu to work on it , or see my mbc and cams. I'm going to try to fix it, or atleast remove the existing hose first thing tomorrow. Thanks for the advise. The garden hose will come next...
Forgot to mention: I have to borrow tools. Other than a good socket set, what else will I need to do this job?

I don't understand what you mean by "mixing outside of the radiator". I have already bought 2 gallons of pre-mixed coolant. What do I need to do different if I don't drain the cooling system? I am going to start in about an hour.....any more suggestions on the job or tools? Thanks....I need it.
