I had the same question about the fuel filter, but I honestly don't think you need in unless you are remove the feed side housing (supply/pipe) or modifying it on the passanger side becuase the stock filter is inside that housing (supply/pipe side). Then you also have the sock filters are on each of the pumps on the drivers side pump module assembly. FullBlown sends an external filter as I have recieved one also but I dont' know if I will use it or not. ------->(Edit Look below as noted another filter is inside the stock pump housing!)

Also for install instructions, FullBlown might add not to forget the rubber base ring on the fuel module assembly! I got that monster down in there and then was like dohhhh!

the full blown unit deletes the factory fuel filter which is housed beside the factory pump location. why wouldn't you need an inline filter?

It doesn't delete the fatory fuel filter, the factory fuel filter is in the supply/pipe line side in other words it is in the passanger side of the tank. All you do to that side of the tanke to install their pump is attach a new line to the suction outlet. You do not take that side apart and that is where the factory fuel filter is for that side. The fuel pump side filters are the sock filters on the end of the pumps so you have the same filteration as you did stock to my knowledge.

Also was looking just to comfirm the use with the AEM and an LS driver is the proper way to hook this up, LS 12 is open on #59. The diagram is below, basically what was posted earlier but a little more complete.

Factory pump housing has the filter built in, dude. No housing - no filter, therefore you need an inline one.

The filter is on the passenger side and on the pumps pic is below, there is no filter built into the stock fuel pump housing on the drivers side. Note this pic is from the fuel pipe side on the passenger side of the car not the fump pump housing.

Well hell, I stand corrected. How many filters could be on this thing!

Guessing the filter is built into the housing.

Yes,#12 IS the fuel filter that is NOT serviceable and IS part of the pump housing as seen here in the following picture of a dissected fuel pump housing and the picture after that of two side by side,1 complete and one cut open

Hope this helps to better understand Mitsu's fuel filter that is integrated into their fuel pump housing.

Hey guys, you do need an inline filter. If you are running the unit with stainless AN lines and fittings then you will have to provide your own filter, like an aeromotive or similar. But if you purchased it with our stock line there is a stainless inline filter provided with it.

the filter on the passenger side is the filter for the pump/suction assembly on the other side of the saddle (extra usdm 2 gallons) and will not filter the fuel going to your fuel rail (the important part). that filter only filters the stuff coming from one side of the saddle to the other side. that means anything in the main saddle would go right to your injectors and stick 'em wide open.

Yes I understand that, but sock filters are still used on the pump. I wasn't aware the pump housing had yet another filter inside for the main fuel supply side, if you look at the pic I posted hopefully you can understand why I didn't see it, #12 is down on the next page so I just overlooked it and placed that in my statement above so everyone understands that it does have another filter that is needed.

Now the biggest question is where to mount this external filter in a good spot.

Everyone, I placed the new filter under the car basically in the place of the stock high pressure line area that is removable directly under the drivers rear seat. I basically pulled the high pressure hose connectors off of the stock plastic lines and slipped the new fuel hose on then clamped and reconnected. I placed the filter in between or in place of the stock high pressure line. When completed you can clip the line right back in place. It’s a tight fit but it fits and is tucked away nicely.
