Great thread, been wondering all this myself.

Which would be better if running alky/meth? Would it be worth getting the 35r if running meth? What about best for track drag racing?

If u r running under 30 psi the 3065 will put out almost the same #'s as the 35r with faster spool up **per jarod I dont assume u to run more then 30 psi on meth??

So are there any benefits to Bushur GT30R Turbo Kit compared to the FP3065, does the GT30R atleast spool quicker? I'm figuring that the FP3065 makes more power then the GT30R Turbo Kit, right? The FP3065 also spools quicker than the GT35R, right? So the GT30R must spool quicker than the FP3065 (to justify it's similiar price tag), but not make as much power, right? I am figuring the FP3065 is the inbetween turbo setup (Between GT30R and GT35R) but how much quicker does the GT30R spool than the FP3065, (Example) is it like 4100-4200RPMs full boost for the GT30R vs. 4300-4400RPMs full boost for the FP3065? Also are the FP3065 and 50Trim near equals in power potential, or with all the bells and whistles, does the FP3065 have the potential for over 500whp@30PSI?

So many questions, I know, sorry.

how does a 3065 spool compared to a 50trim. im looking into a 50trim turbo or one that will be better but with same or less lag and same or better top end. get what im saying???

me 2 me 2 me 2. what spools faster, hits full boost faster and hold boost longer. and how much boost is maxed out on the 50 trim and fp3065??? whats each turbo's max power range

At that time I was still running 100% stock head, block, ignition, intake manifold / throttlebody etc... and the car dyno'd here on C16 and 29psi at 462whp / 387trq. On straight 94 octane NO alky it made 342whp / 276trq.

Now I am running our special grind cams, ported intake manifold, 1000cc injectors, our modified fuel pump, valve springs & retainers and our J&E drop in pistons w/ crower rods just for added protection. The head is still stock minus the springs & retainers. There has been no porting or anything done. It is not even our full stage 3 block. Just drop in pistons and rods. Still stock throttle body and the only ignition upgrade I have is Ralliart plug wires.... NO coil-on plug or DLI-2.

It now made 398whp on straight 94 and 22psi and 505whp on C16 with 30psi. I did take the car back to the track back in October for the NOPI World Finals. I had nothing but SEVERE traction issues. With a best spinning 60' of a 1.91 it went 11.41@131mph.

Wow, 398whp (Buschur's Mustang) on straight pump gas with the FP3065, that is really impressive, especially with how low Buschur's dyno reads, I wouldn't be surprised if that would be around 450-460whp on most Dyno Jets. 30PSI=505whp on Buschur's Dyno=DAMN=you answered my last question on my previous post. Seriously if the FP3065 is making that kind of power, I'm totally shocked more people don't use it. When and if I go bigger turbo, I know what turbo setup I will be running

I would say just go with the 3065. You really can't beat the price and fun factor of the turbo. Im not putting out the HP as Jarrod is but hopefully soon

Plus if you ever wanted to upgrade you wouldn't need to but a whole new turbo just a new rotating assembly. I know FP has them but Im sure you could buy it through BR. The going price for the new CHRA is $972 and it is a FP3565 or GT3582 which ever way you look at it.

Now if you want even more power there is a different turbo out there that is called the FP3575 which is $1429 and Im pretty sure it's a bolt-on application to the BR kit.

IMO the 37r won't be too happy for a DD but what do I know?

But how much laggier can it be? (between 3065 and 35r) Once your in it, your in it right? Would a 35r be a better platform once you start going "bigger"?

I'm up for that, I've met you before, at the track and a meet. I would also like to check out your blow-through set up.

U Can always upgrade the 3065 kit to a 35r for very cheap(i beleave around 600) if u ever wanted to run higher then 30 psi anyway. But till 30 psi they make about the same power.
