edit - i'm sorry, did not look at the dyno's

There is no valvetrain work done except for the drop in of the cams and every mod to the car is listed on page 1, nothing was missed.

^^.. If you go to the first page of this thread, you will see that Al posted the third graph of IX with bolt-on mods for reference. My question was directed toward Stage II IX's graph, not yours.

I do not recall the specifics of that tune, I believe he may have had ecu controlled boost which does not hold the boost as well as a MBC or EBC - I will have to go back and look over the dyno notes and his boost log when I have a chance

Al what about Cosworth for EVO 8?
You know I do Road Racing, so let me know on this, if you recommend them, I'll buy you a set.

Wow, you have a $4,000 dollar paperweight! I know you have moneybags everywhere, but come on. Put that cylinder head to some use!

So do you really think GSC cams are crap, or you just saying that because, well i am sure you know why.

you can only run an exhaust cam gear on the IX due to the MIVEC but there's really no point if you have a good tuner

You see, I had planned to use it

But, since my Buschur engine has been holding up really well and its hard to take apart a really great running engine for no reason

The Cosworth head is just a spare part at this point

I have a fully built bottom end over at Buschur's ready to go thatr has been sitting there for who knows how long as well as a spare transmission over at Shep racing

Since the Cosworth head is a nice size to have sitting on my desk that is my conversation piece at this time

The MIVEC on the intake cam makes a cam gear pointless on the intake cam

From what I see their cams are more suited to a more conventional use - such as road racing

The JUN 272 I use are a more high rpms drag cam that is on the very agressive side

From what i can see and im sure others will agree, it seems most of the power is coming from the tune itself leaving minimal gains from the cams

So you would recommend them over the HKS 272 cams for Road Racing?

Al - If you can find a nice cat-back & test pipe or high flow cat before new years, I will drive down and we will find out what the cams make over the stock IX with exhaust vs. no cams using the right spark plugs.
