High Idle

My car had been idling fine after my tune then about 2 or 3 weeks later i go out one morning and turn it on and it idles at like 1700, then it just keeps going up 2000, then 2400, then finally ends at like 2700. I can drive the car around for a little while and sometimes after about 10 15 minutes of driving it goes back down too like 1000, 900 range.

It also is kind bouncy sometimes up and down, like 1700 to 2400 up and down constatly. I had this problem on a honda i use to have and it was the idle air control valve but it never would stay pined at 2500 for a long period of time it would just bounce.

I know this cant be the tune, its not like the computer can just change it self like that.

I had the problem of the bouncing RPM at a stop after driver the car hard. I think it has to do with the ISCV setting Don't know how to fix it though.

the 2500-2700 number sounds as if the iac took a dump.

see if you can borrow 1 from a buddy w/a evo. it takes ~5 minutes to swap out.

once fired up the car to see how high the car would idle with teh aic disconnected, it was 2700 revs!

good luck

i have the same problem alot. On mine, its the main throttle body butterfly valve. I take off the IC piping and clean it out with a toothbrush and some cleaner. I think it has to do with my methanaol injection but apparently it keeps building up "gunk" no matter how many times i clean it. It wont let the throttle body close that extra 1/8 of an inch or so. Usualy builds up after 2 weeks. I noticed u had meth injection as well so it might be something to check into.
