Crushed MR BOV
You know what I find really odd is Warrtalon so far in every aspect of this thread has consistently given correct information, and is being flamed for that information. Turbotoyzz, you say you're not a noob but from every comment you've made so far it does sound like you are, and it sounds like you need to do a lot of homework.
Now, I don't have any sponsors except for what my paycheck covers, I have all the bolt-ons and then some, fabricate some of my own parts, and then do all of my own tuning including a stock ecu Speed Density swap that's fully tuned. I've been doing this for over 10 years on various makes and models over the years.
That being said, the only reason you will have a huge spike to 30psi is due to the amount of backpressure in the housing at the wastegate. Not only will it try to over spin the turbo, but you will be waaaay out of the efficiency map of the stock compressor while doing it, and increasing your backpressure much more than you really want to. I've run the stock turbo up to the 30psi range before just to see what it could do, and honestly it's pointless. I made more power with less pressure and increased timing, along with having a cooler air charge. A spike like that only increases every chance of detonation you have, and will not end up good for you in the long run.
Now, as for the crushed IX valve, I run one currently...albeit only slightly crushed and more like barely dented lol. I haven't found a valve yet that is as consistent as the IX valve for controlling surge on the stock compressors while maintaining the pressure they do. Like said though, crush them too far and they become garbage so it's a very fine line.

Just thought I would contribute. I'm running 27psi and was tapering to 22.3psi at 7000rpm with the stock mr BOV. I crushed it today and gained about .7 psi up top.....however I also had to retune my wastegate duty cycle from 4000rpm to 65000 rpm because I was now over-boosting.
I was overboosting by almost 2 psi so the stock bpv was leaking a bit before being crushed. I haven't noticed any problems and the bpv seems to be functioning as well as it was before being crushed, no part throttle problems etc. etc.
I would recommend crushing to anyone who wants to hold a little more boost at redline.....
I crushed as recommended here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/5804893-post25.html
