Exclamation Help! Hiccupping problems :(

Hey guys, I am having a crazy problem with my car!

So there I was, crusin' down the freeway at around 65mph in 5th gear. I kinda felt like lettin' the turbo spool up to get some speed, so I give it some gas, car hits 1.57 (22.77psi) bar, and all of a sudden, I get this hiccup from the engine! It felt like I was running at full speed and someone yanked my t-shirt from the back!

Current mods are: Evo IX MR bov, Forge boost controller, test pipe, 3" exhaust, downpipe, ECU tuned by Mynes, Blitz turbo timer, and an intake that is getting kind of dirty.

What could be the cause of the problem? It only occurrs in certain events; such as if I were going 30mph in 3rd, and then I decide to fully acclerate in 3rd, the peak boost hits for a little while, but hiccups around 4000 rpm.

This is killing me~ PLZ help!

Sounds like it may be fuel cut... if you are overboosting this is a common problem... are you properly tuned for ~23psi ? The situations you mentioned (65mph in 5th to WOT.... 30mph in 3rd to WOT) those would generate the most boost, so I wouldn't be surprised. How high does your gauge go?

It is the fuel cut. They do that with out a flash.
Did the guy that tuned your car remove it or raise it?

The gauge goes to 2 bar. My car previously had a Dynoflash mail-in (.-_-.) before I bought it, so I took it to the shop and had the ecu get a complete re-flash after they removed the old one. Should I go back to the shop and have it re-tuned?

I would call the shop and explain that you are spiking 23psi and are getting fuel cut... if the MBC has not been touched since they tuned it, then this was an oversight on their part....

Check the gap on your spark plugs. Should be at .026
