What is the Best Engine for my Evo 7?
I have always used Castrol products and have had very good luck with them. I will be using Castrol Formula RS or Castrol TWS Motorsport SAE 10W-60 in my evo after break-in is over. These are the only approved oils for the E46 M3 after the engine failure recently. So they are available at any BMW dealer.

In the long run, you find out, regardless of the mods or your driving style, frequent changes with a good quality filter does much more good than "good" oil.

, but this point is a really good one. I've seen way too many people drop $25 on a good synthetic and then filter it with a $2 Fram filter. Good oil (whether synthetic or dino) and a good filter will do you well. Cheap filters are cheap for a reason, avoid them like the plague
I agree with you aswell on that one Westside. Synthetic oil has to be better.
I think i will try the Castrol RS 10w-60 and see how it goes. I just found out today after going into a Mitsu dealer that in the FQ300 spec has a special oil filter made just for the FQ300. I wonder why that is.
Cheers
