Exclamation Wtf!?!?

So i installed my Turbo XS MBC about a week ago. I am boosting 1.5 kg/hg (MR Gauge). On my way to my GF's house i decided to really test it out!!! i was on the freeway and it was doing pretty good until i decided to see my max boost so i put it in to 5th gear (5 speed) at around 60 mph, and got on it it boosted a little over 1.5 kg/hg's for about 5 sec then i heard a loud a** thud and it felt as if i lost all power (stoped accelerating)
so i got off the gas and baybied it all the way home. never experienced this before
should i be worried

Could be the throttle body to IC pipe connection. Get t-bolt clamps.

Don't know why you would trying to artificially spike the boost by loading the engine at a lower speed in a higher gear.

Teknishin meant to say "hose," not "house." Maybe he thinks that's how you spell "hose," but I'm not sure.

Anyway, sounds like you hit fuel cut, and it's going to continue to happen until you get tuned.

Also, I'm pretty sure we told you not to get that MBC. Oh well, enjoy.

I sure hope that's not a K&N Typhoon, either. If it is, you might as well get an HKS SSQV, then you'd have the worst combination of mods ever for a noob. Most money ever spent to make less power than stock FTW!!

I would listen to the voice of experience.

The great thing about places like this is that there are a wealth of folks who really honestly know their *ish and WT is one of them.

It also seems as if he or others may have pointed out that you need a piece or two of kit to keep your car safe only to see that you are pushing your cars ability in a possibly unsafe way only to have something bad happen and then come back here and ask for help.

In short if you ask for help be humble enough to accept it.

As for blowing a hose, I've done it before (on a non EVO) and found the key bit of info that made it obvious was the hissing sound of lots of yummy boost doing nothing fun.
