The FP "EVO" Green in the link is the same as the 20G LT that is new to the market. FP has been around since the DSM days and the original Green turbos were considered the best bang for the buck bolt on turbos for the DSM. The evo green is twin scroll and the green used on the Subarus is a TD05 variant that is designed to bolt on to their engines.

50 trim hands down. You will hit 410-430whp on pump easily. It will take some decent effort to do that with any stock like turbo. Plus when you give it the race juice it will go far and beyond a 20g.

well it comes down to a few things:

50trim, are you willing to change out your exhaust manifold/downpipe?

20g, is a direct swap in.

50 trim will easily hit 400 on 93 octane alone and a flash.

someone on here just hit 400 even with bolt-on's and this turbo with ems.

50 trim's max out around 500 whp on meth/pump or race gas....FP green is yet to be seen, but probably somewhere below there.

Spool on the 20g is similar to stock, 50 trim a little later....how much later seems to differ but not THAT much later than stock.

If you're looking for the most power on pump, 50 trim is your answer even though it'll be more expensive.

i would go with the 50trim or even maybe with the bigger 3076R.

I think for pump gas the 50 trim is excellent and the 3076R not bad also plus on race gas with the later you can pass the 500whp mark...

Personally 20G is too small and i think after a few months you will want to go even bigger, thus spending more money...

i would put my money on the 50 trim or even the 3076R just to cover my strip needs...

you can pick up a used 50 trim turbo kit for 1500-2000 in the for sales. then you have the option to go bigger later on.

But I see a bunch of debate when I search "20g turbo" about which way is the best way for 400whp.

Some people say you can't make 400whp on either setup on 93 octane... and if that were true. The choice would go 20g because of all the extra money spent on the 50 trim setup. Just to NOT reach the goal anyway.

What you guys think?
With 400whp, you better be trapping higher then 116! My best trap was 119 and I'm only at 372whp (Buschur Dyno though).

I have the 20g-9 but I'm hearing the green will net me another 30 peak hp. I'm running alcohol though. I don't think you'd get 400whp on Buschur's dyno with a 20g on pump. Just my opinion. You may be talking about a dynojet. If that's the case, you may be able to hit your # with the 20g and a great tune!

Remember your 372whp on Buschur's dyno is more like 440whp on a dynojet.

So if the op hits 400whp on a dynojet then he wouldn't be able to run the same trap speed as you. Because he would have 40 less hp.

Well I think anyone considering either of these turbos is in the same boat as they are very similar in numbers but there are pros and cons to both. I see you didnt mention price as an issue, you just want 400whp on 93 octane. If this is the case the I would just do the 50 trim. If price is a factor then I personally feel the 20G is more bang for the buck. And if you want more out of it later then throw the meth at it. For me this turbo is better because it has less lag and bolts up to my ported mani and O2 housing. Less lag and price sold me on the 20G-LT. And like someone said, the 367whp it put down on BR's dyno is well over 400whp on most Dynojets.

So did the evo green cost $1700 in the DSM days? Or did the price sky rocket recently due to demand?
