Quiet exhaust with no loss in Performance

i was in japan, a couple weeks back and one of my friends had an aftermarket exhaust that was just as quiet as stock if not quieter and according to him there is no loss in flow or performance due to the design - pretty crazy! he said the only down fall was it was about 10-15lb heavier than most aftermarket exhaust.

so my question is, do you guys think that an exhaust like this would sell successfully in the US? Since, it seems like the law is cracking down more and more and also i noticed that most evo owners use their car for daily driving, so the extra weight would not matter that much.

let me know! all comments are appreciated.

I would buy it. I like a car that sounds healthy, not rude.

People are pulled over with stock exhausts

Cops don't really care about them they just want your money.

yeah try these

Apex'i WS NOIR, not full 3" but hey at least its stealthy!.. if you are going to be only around 300whp, this set up is sufficent enough. I have seen a few guys up north here ran low 12's and high 11's with this setup all day long (fine tuned). looks so stock that you can't detect with naked eyes.

or Sun Auto/HRS exhaust system, full 3" with resonated midpipe. Rear muffler has volute design to maximize exhaust flow. The best result I have seen (on dyno) is on Speed Element's red evo (seen in picture). 300whp/310lb/tq. its so quiet during idle and slightly louder than stock at WOT.

supposedly Sun Auto is changing the design a bit. The tip will be straight in their next shipment.

The Magnaflow Street is nearly as quiet as stock. My wife couldn't tell I put on an exhaust and she is very mod unfriendly!

No, sorry, if it's quiet, it's less powerful. That's just how it works - if it restricts the sound, it restricts the flow.

Warrtalon, I disagree. How is it then that Buschers bullet exhaust is quiter than his earlier race muffler and the bullet makes as much or more power. As far as I know his magnaflow muffler makes just as much power as his bullet exhaust. Since you endorse buschurs products so much I would have though you knew that. Enlighten me how a 3in strait through perforated resonator or muffler resticts flow but yet quiets down the exhaust.

Quick Reply: Quiet exhaust with no loss in Performance
