I Just Blew My Motor!
If you can tolerate one more "Sorry dude" then let me extend my condolences. Seriously, I'd be bummed/angry. I have a custom tune with boost set at 20.5 psi. Makes me wonder if something like that is gonna happen down the road.
I have quite possibly the worts luck with this car. everything that could have gone wrong, did. Other than the car being faster than normal, accorging to turbotrix, claiming i made the most power for the mods on their dyno, this car was a disaster if it broke. Dont get me wrong i love this car and probly going to get another one after the insurance clears, but its a PITA if you modify it.
Hmmmm...
Car caught on fire on a flat bed?
What did the driver said about the cause?
Tow truck company didn't inform you till you got there?
Did they even try calling the Fire dept. or try to put it out ?
Something doesn't seem right here....Or is it just bad luck.

The fire department did come and put out the fire, im going to go there for questioning sometime this week.
And they stole my jacket from the trunk of the car, which on top of everything pissed me off even more.
Anyone from NY stay away from Jamaica Towing
2 bits of advice for you..
1) DO NOT Discuss this any further with anyone but the insurance company
2) Keep your receipts, and any photographs of the modifications BEFORE the fire and AFTER to prove they were on the car if at all possible.
Most insurance companies are somewhat reasonable about this stuff if you have your receipts and have documentation that they were on the car when it was lost/stolen/destroyed.

If it was on their lot in their care.. If it was on a Flatbed in transit, it may be different and covered another way, hence why they are probably claiming it was on a flatbed, some tow companies have disclaimers about loss/damage while the vehicle is on a flatbed, but their lots are usually insured and bonded.
Discuss this all with your insurance company, possibly retain a lawyer as the circumstances are also a little suspicious for the loss and if the insurance company has any doubt about the loss, it may be something you have to fight for.
Consider it burning a godsend.
Go through all the crap with the insurance co. After all is said and done, buy the car back. Salvage whatever you can to either sell or reuse and then dump or re-sell the shell with the salvage title.
I'd definetly rethink your mod process/driving style as was said above. Engines don't blow and cars don't burn on their own...

Since no one else seems to read entire threads I will help you. Click on "post reply" instead of typing in the quick reply area. Towards the bottom in "Additional Options" you'll see a button that says "manage attachments". When you click that you can load pics from your computer to your reply. You may need to resize them as you have a 100mb limit per picture.
I would suggest you no longer discuss this topic online, wait until after you have settled.
I know everyone wants to know exactly what happens, but it would be in your BEST interest not to discuss this any further.
